Detsch Family

I still have a handful of holiday sessions to share and this is one of them. One of my longtime friends from junior high, Kelly, invited me over to capture some images of  her family. Since everyone was in town over the holidays, we were able to get the whole gang together at her parents’ house. Lucky for me, they have a gorgeous backyard so we had plenty of spots to choose from and lots of cute, little faces to photograph :)

Kelly, it’s an honor to take pictures for your family and what a treasure it is to share parenthood with you. My goodness, it’s been a long time and a lot of beautiful changes over the years. Happy New Year to you all!

Christmas 2011

This year, Christmas was amazing! We had the best time watching Paxton experience Christmas as a two and a half year old…the lights, the tree, the advent calendar, Christmas Eve at church, cookies for Santa, stockings, presents…he couldn’t get enough. It was so different from last year. This year, he got it! He’s been asking us for the last two weeks if it’s Christmas again yet? I think he dug it. And then on top of all that fun, we got to celebrate Corbin’s very first Christmas (and his first meal). It was truly crazy, but wonderful! I wanted to share a few images of our Christmas day…this definitely doesn’t include all the snapshots we took throughout the holiday season, but you can see those on my Instagram (merrileew). Happy 2012 everyone!

Stephens Family

This last weekend I had the pleasure (and I truly mean pleasure) of capturing some images for the Stephens family. Catie is a friend of mine and also the owner of Vuefinder Photography. She took some amazingly beautiful family pictures for us not too very long ago and I’ll tell you after being the recipient of her stunning work, I did feel a little pressure. I was determined to create some equally beautiful images and these guys made it so easy. As you can see below, she has an absolutely gorgeous family and it was impossible to take a bad picture of any them….I’m not exaggerating :)

Okay Catie, the moment you’ve been waiting for (drum roll, please)…here are your family pictures! Enjoy, my dear.
